Moments in Queue
Moments in Queue (MIQ) is about the thoughts within Momma Queue. The purpose is to bring awareness of the fact that humans aren’t one note but several. Initially, MIQ can sound like a cacophony with two types of sound from Sundays and Thursdays.
Mondays are for those that crave a different flavor in your podcast ears. Unwind with my ASMR-infused sessions, where soothing whispers and gentle encouragement create a serene oasis for your senses. I’m all about an ASMR experience that will leave you breathless from laughing or breathing loud to remove the awkward silence.
Saturdays sway into an out of this world experience of woo woo and oooh oooh! I’m spotlighting Black businesses, exploring and unraveling the mysteries of Hoodoo, and daringly discussing BDSM—breaking boundaries (not safe words) with every word punch.
It might be overwhelming to some but normal when you encounter Moments in Queue…

M-O-W-M-A-Q-W-E-E W-E-E, that's my name. Mama Q M-O-W-M-A-Q-W-E W-E-E, that's my name. Mama Q, say it faster or slow, don't really matter, though the U-E gets a minute. Tongue tizzy. Yo, hey, kinda dizzy bro. Who is she? Mama Q? Mama gave birth little waste, no girth 60 years ago. No, I don't want. Mo Q is a lion and I tried to align this double end. Tundra petty, haha, it's one of my modules. Mama Q, I'm the first one in and the first one out. Mephistonikki is my whereabouts. Duncan, plain Mayn, saying stick it to one topic. I reply your mind is very myopic with Mama Q. You need better optist picking and choosing to copy me. Are you inspired? Definitely. No need to whisper gracefully, I like it better off-key. Now let's see. Do you remember me? M-o-w-m-a-q-w-e W-E, that's my name. Mama Q M-O-W-M-A-Q-W-E W-E, that's my name. Mama Q hey, hi, it's me.
Speaker 2:Mama Q, I welcome you to Moments in Q ASMR episode. In this episode I will titillate your ear with my voice and random sounds. In Q Today's 60 Seconds of Heaven, what's going on? It's Kevin and Kroak on the joke. Hello.
Speaker 1:He told her, he's a thing.
Speaker 2:What's going on in this segment. I tell you what's going on in my life since last episode. It's 848. Where, where, where, it's my microphone. Where's my microphone? Oh my gosh, they're gonna think I'm slow.
Speaker 2:Well, it was my 40th birthday. I was laying down, wishing my boot thing was here to rub on my booty, but my bed is ice Ice cold, not cool, not cool, not cool. My bed is ice cold, not cool, not cool. I believe. I believe, I believe, I believe. Okay, y'all, that was just me doing my re-edition, because yesterday was my 40th birthday for decades. Whoa, whoa, whoa. A quarter and 15 cents. Whoa, whoa. Wait, did I do that math right? Yeah, a quarter and 15 cents. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:So I didn't get a chance to record the day before, like I usually do, because I had a birth sandwich, a birthday sandwich, okay. So what it is is that I have three nephews. Well, I have more than that, but these three nephews, I have one that is born the day before my birthday, one that is born on my birthday and one that is born today, the day that I'm recording, after my birthday. And well, life just got busy and so here we are, hence why I'm recording on a Monday, but this will not happen again. I like consistency. Like Wale said, I want to spoil you with consistency. Okay, so my birthday was cool. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I'll talk more about it in the next segment.
Speaker 2:So let's see what else happened. After I celebrated with family my nephew's birthday the day before me, I went cuddle with my dad because, oh my gosh, he is a busy, busy person. Why is it that we live in the same city and I can never get your will Anyway? So I met a well and I did an interview with him and it's gonna oppose this Thursday coming up. Don't worry, it's halfway ready, so I'll be good to go Thursday. I'm 99.9% certainly it's gonna post on Thursday, everything on time, okay.
Speaker 2:So I enjoy the interview and one thing about me is I love myself a AAR and so I talk about a AARs all the time. So that's the answer After action review or after action report, depending on what you are taught and when you do a AR. Basically, the way it goes is you think about what you wanted to accomplish and then from there, you talk about the things that went well, so you can keep doing it, and the things that didn't go well, so you won't do it again. So every time I do interviews with my family, I always do, like I said, a AR Mentally to myself, and I do that about 90% of the time with my life, all right. So I figured out what I did or did not like About my first three interviews and I think this one is a decent one.
Speaker 2:I really do, I really enjoyed it and I I'm sorry if it's kind of short and I have a couple of brain freezes, but I have been drinking. Okay, I'm celebrating for my, for my nephew and everybody else, because one is somebody's birthday, mine or not. I drink. Which sidebar? I did not drink at all on my birthday. I had this nagging feeling about something, so I decided to say sober, but it's okay. The day before, though, the day before, yeah, I was drinking, let me see, I spent time with my family and self-care and self-care. I'll talk about that more.
Speaker 2:The next segment, anyway, keeping up with what's been going on with me, is that um. Another thing is that I should have written questions down because my dad has said something and I wanted to ask him right there, but you know my favorite phrase, it escaped me. I Normally like to listen and ask interviews. I mean listen and ask the questions during the interview, because sometimes the things that I come up with might pop up during the time. So I'm like, let me ask, let me ask. So but a Thing that I realized when I interview my dad is that it's really cool to interview my family, because this can be Episodes that are descendants listen to, thus venerating us when we become ancestors, or, at the very least, allow them to hear our voices and get to know us better If they didn't know us prior. So it made me feel great.
Speaker 2:And with all the interviews, what I really really like is that we talk about our ancestors during the podcast. So it's like for me, like it's. It's like a continuing cycle of the past ancestors being venerated and, if I guess continue to be around in the future for them to venerate us. So I like that, which I'll think, and so I'll be you stick around to listen for Thursday episode. Like I said, this episode will be quicker than ten quality pumps. 10 quality pumps that's an inside joke and a double entendre, it's given. I'm giving you the encouragement to make it through the week. Let's tackle eating that elephant together, one bite at a time. You know what I feel like it's okay to make it all about you. Seriously, I have evolved over the years and life oh my gosh, life continues to show me why I should change my mind over some thoughts. So here is story time with Mama Q Alright, some years ago this woman that had five children, all under the age of five, y'all omitted to spending $300 from her taxes on herself and not her small children.
Speaker 2:She said someone had told her she needed to do that. She needed to do it for herself. In my mind, I unfortunately judged her. I felt like she should use the money for the children's. They were a year behind each other in birth. She was struggling hard and you know what? On my birthday I thought about her. I loved a growth y'all, because growing and changing my mind makes me feel great, but embarrassing for having those judgmental thoughts.
Speaker 2:Yesterday I decided to take my birthday money and received a much-knitty pedicure. Alright, I think there's a meme around that says, if you rub your feet together and a Michael Jackson song or something like that, the sounds come through that you need a pedicure. And well, them dogs will bark and woof, woof, woof. Okay, when I get a pedicure done, it's a form of self-care and I had done self-care that entire week. My man my man, thank you to my man has sent me some birthday money so I was able to get my hair shaved and my locks done. I did that all the time, if y'all hear my mini me, sorry about that. I tried to record before she woke up and didn't wake up in time.
Speaker 2:Anyway, like I said, it was self-care. I had got my hair done shaved, the locks taken care of, and so my feet needed to be done. I normally would I do when I receive any kind of birthday money or, yeah, any kind of birthday money or money from people just because I immediately think of putting it in my bank account to take care of my bills. And I was like, no, I've had a rough nine months of this year and I made it to see a milestone. Damn it, i'mma celebrate. So, like I said, got the pedicure and I said you know what, just for today, let me be happy, let me not be stressed about the worries of XYZ. You know, I bought myself some food. I didn't buy any for mini me, just for me.
Speaker 2:I literally made yesterday all about me and of course, I felt guilty because I'm so used to putting my needs I mean I'm sorry the needs of others before my needs and the ancestors that get on me a lot about that, because it causes me to have a burnout, I get depressed and have suicidal ideations and I suffer from seasonal affective disorder, which will be coming up, unfortunately, pretty soon. So it's like it's already been a rough year for me. So I'm like let me just again breathe, enjoy myself and just live in the moment and just say fuck it. You know what I'm saying. So, as you know, stress is not good for your mental, it's not good for your body, because you know that calls heart attacks, stroke, things of that nature. And so I was like you know what? I'm 40. I'm quote, unquote, can't hold, I don't want to add on anything, you know. So, yeah, let me not do that. And also, I'm going to take care of my mental health. Of course. I'm going to therapy this week and receive Reiki from one of my Reiki masters. You know, as I said, it's a milestone. It needs to be celebrated.
Speaker 2:So I say all this to say I believe that it is okay to want to want to put yourself first, to make it all about you. I'm a mother, so that's all I know about, okay, and so I think mama's put our family, our children's, our partners first a lot of times, be it because of society, pressures, or it's just in our nature and that can cause so much mess. So one thing about the love of my Mike Foxtrot live y'all Instead. I love that he embodies what it is to be a partner, you know, because so many times, and even currently, I, like I just said, put others in front of myself, because I always want to help people and it always gets me fucked up, you know, and when it's my time for help, nobody is around for me. Of course my ancestors are around, you know, but very few foreign between people are around for me. And so so far this year, my birthday love of my Mike Foxtrot life, he has been there for me to help me out a lot and stuff and I'm just, it just makes me happy, you know. So, yeah, it just feels good to have a partner, somebody there to help pick you up when you're down, and just, you don't have to always be giving to others. You know, it's like a seesaw I give, he give, blah, blah, blah. So you know, just remember that sometimes when you give to a lot of people. The motherfuckers ain't grateful like they're grateful with words, but sometimes they just do that because, again, that's your nature and they go to people. They know that they can get away with shit. So if for a tiny moment, be your birthday, mother's day, father's day, hell, even grandparents day, or random ass Tuesday, let the motherfuckers fend for themselves. Okay, if you can have them fend for themselves and just say fuck it, it'll make you feel better.
Speaker 2:Croak on the joke. That's where I give you my bestest joke and we laugh together. Or nah, today's joke. My poor thing told me I'm like a lobster. He said all the meat is in the tail. And then he did this. You get it all the meat is in the tail. Well, guess that's my cute leaf.
